1There are monitor calibration methods to get a consistent color and image in the end product. One such easy, available and adaptable method is Adobe gamma. Adobe gamma installation in a system makes sure of using the same colour preferences in computer, printer and also in monitor. 2It occurs in two stages. In stage 1, the lighting effect inside the computer room is traced and positioned properly in order to get a consistent colour. Switch on the LCD monitor and allow it to warm up for half an hour. This warm up ensures the more appropriate colour is read with the model lighting set up inside the room. If the adobe gamma is already installed in the system uninstall the older version. Ensure that only new latest version of adobe gamma is installed. As there is a chance of reflecting materials inside the room, place an unbiased gray background in the LCD monitor. This reduces the chance of colouring preferences and distracting materials.

3Once the preparation stage is completed, the calibrating operation can be preceded. This preparation stage reduces maximum error imposed by man-made and an appliance. This creates ICC profile in a calibrated monitor. Click on Start tab, just select Control panel tab and enter. In Control panel, click on Settings options in case of Windows operating system. Enter into Display icon by double click and then click Settings tab.

4The LCD monitor should display a set of thousands of colour preferences. Once it is done close the window. Now get into the Adobe gamma tab by double clicking which eventually open the adobe gamma wizard. In case of MAC operating system, click Finder tab and then Preference tab. In Preference tab double click Display icon. The LCD monitor should be set to millions of colour preference and ensure the same.

5The colour profile shall be highlighted in the monitor profile. Click the Colour tab and then select the Calibrate tab. This opens the Display calibrator to seek for assistance. In case of MAC with operating system 8 and 9, the assistance is incorporated within the LCD monitor system control panel. Check the additional preferences that are available in Expert mode. In case of Windows OS, the operator has to stack the ICC profile to commence its operation.

6Once it is loaded, the LCD monitor can be seen in the control area, click the load tab and search for the monitor option in the area. The contrast of LCD monitor should be set as high. The brightness of monitor also should be set. In MAC and Windows OS, there is a square with lines by means of solid graphic in the core point of the monitor options.

7The solid graphic should be set in such a way that it matches the background colour by moving the sliders gently. Focus on the brightness of the monitor rather than shape of it. This is possible by narrowing the eye view to focus, in case of Windows OS. In MAC OS, there are five such squares which will all produce illumination or brightness response curves.

8In case of Windows OS or MAC 8 or 9 OS, phosphor statistics should be selected. Opt for types suited for a particular LCD monitor, when known. If you are not aware of the type listed, look for a manual showing chromaticity matches. Select the Custom option and feed the chromaticity of red, blue and green as shown in the monitor manual. It is better to set the midtone brightness when the system incorporates MAC OS 8 and 9 or Windows OS.

9Try to bring together the center shape till it becomes disappears or not seen. The target gamma shall be selected. Target gamma for Windows is 2.2 and for MAC it is 1.8, whereas Windows NT is devoid of this target gamma option. The white part should be set. If it not known then got to Measure option, choose neutral gray colour in the three squares which appears on the monitor. The ICC profile can now be saved and enhanced.
